We carry a simple cleaning kit that includes:

Everything Fits in One Bin
One thing I love most about our setup is that nearly everything fits inside our camping storage bin.
When it’s time for our next trip, packing takes less than an hour because most supplies are already organized.
Instead of searching the garage for dozens of items, we simply load one gear bin, our cooler, packing cubes, and a few personal bags.
That simple system has made glamping much more enjoyable.
What We Didn’t Buy
One thing I learned while researching camping gear is that you don’t need every gadget advertised online.
We skipped:
- Expensive camping coffee makers
- Large cooking stations
- Multiple lanterns
- Heavy cast iron cookware
- Large camping cabinets
- Fancy storage systems
For families who only camp occasionally, simpler really is better.
Final Thoughts
Building your first glamping kit doesn’t have to happen all at once.
Start with a few essentials, take your first trip, and make notes about what you actually used. You may discover that some items you thought were necessary stayed packed the entire weekend, while a simple lantern or storage bin became indispensable.
For our family, choosing fewer but better-quality items has made every glamping trip easier to pack, easier to organize, and much more relaxing.
