About Me
Hey there, fellow wanderer! 👋 So, who am I — software engineer by day, snack-dispenser and tantrum-negotiator by night, and a full-time travel dreamer somewhere in between. I live in sunny (and sometimes smoky) California with my husband and our two little sidekicks — one feisty 8-year-old who thinks she’s the boss of us, and a super-energetic 4-year-old who runs on snacks and chaos.
When we’re not busy debugging code (me) or toys (them), we’re usually out and about exploring the world — one museum, small town, and nature trail at a time. Most weekends, we turn into that family who somehow fits three backpacks, two scooters, a picnic blanket, and a random stuffed animal into one car. And off we go — chasing waterfalls, petting goats in petting zoos, or simply discovering why small-town bakeries have the best donuts ever.
Family travel is our therapy, our chaos, and our comedy show all rolled into one. From muddy hiking boots to snow-covered Christmas markets, we believe in making memories — even if it means someone (usually me) forgetting the sunscreen again. Summer and winter holidays are sacred. While others might be sipping cocktails on the beach or binge-watching Netflix, we’re probably dragging suitcases through cobblestone streets, hunting down medieval castles, or twinkling our way through a dreamy European Christmas market with hot cocoa in hand (and a churro in each kid’s mouth).
This blog is basically our family’s scrapbook — minus the glue, glitter, and Pinterest-level pressure. We share what we loved, what made the kids giggle (and scream), where to get the best local treats, and what we wish we knew before we got there (like, hey, don’t wear sandals to a sheep farm 🐑).
If you’re a parent who loves to travel but isn’t quite sure how to make it work with kids, or you just want to know which mountain trail is stroller-friendly and which museum has clean bathrooms (a real travel flex), you’re in the right place. I do the research so you don’t have to — and I’ll tell you the stuff that actually matters when you have tiny humans in tow.
We’re not influencers or luxury travelers (unless you count the “luxury” of staying somewhere with free breakfast and laundry). We’re just a regular family making the most of every long weekend, school break, and “let’s get out of the house before we lose our minds” kind of Saturday.
So come along, follow our misadventures, get inspired for your next family trip, and if you ever spot us at a random roadside diner or in the last row of an overbooked flight, do say hi! We’ll be the ones bribing kids with lollipops and Googling “nearest coffee shop” with 3% battery left. 🚗✈️🌍
